Camp Blue Skies founder featured in The Wall Street Journal

Dick Sesler, the founder of Camp Blue Skies, was featured in the April 15, 2024, edition of The Wall Street Journal’s “Second Acts” series. The report detailed Dick’s dream, inspired by his son, Brent, of creating camps for adults with developmental disabilities. Here’s an excerpt:

One of the best parts of the experience, Sesler says, is “observing the growth in confidence and life skills of the campers.” He recalls one camper who was “grumpy” at the start of the session. Over the course of the week, his confidence and conversational skills rose. Three months after camp, Sesler says, he learned that the camper got his first job.
