Big changes coming to our 2024 Georgia camps
Our Georgia camps are just a few months away, and we can’t wait to see everyone! If you haven’t heard, we have some exciting news about a change in days and location (same address, but a new campus!). But, first, the key info:
Camp Blue Skies-Williams Syndrome: March 6-10 (Wed-Sun)
This session is in partnership with Williams Syndrome Association for adults with Williams syndrome.
Camp Blue Skies-Georgia: March 13-17 (Wed-Sun)
Our usual session, serving adults with various developmental disabilities.
Camper Applications open Friday, Dec. 1, at 9 am Eastern.
Volunteer Applications are open now, so please apply anytime!
BIG CHANGE #1: Our March camps are shifting to include weekend days. The sessions will start on Wednesday (early afternoon) and end on Sunday (mid-morning). This shift aligns more with Camp Twin Lakes staffing and will enable us to recruit as many wonderful volunteers as possible. Parents/caregivers may also find pick-up easier on weekends than on weekdays.
BIG CHANGE #2: We will still be at Camp Twin Lakes, but you may have noticed last year that they were building a campus immediately next door. Camp Blue Skies is doing something new and different this year and will be at the new Camp Twin Lakes- Rutledge West Campus. What will be the same and/or different?
Location: The entrance is off the same main driveway, so general directions are good!
Activities: The new campus is similar to the old one. There’s a lake for fishing and paddle boats, a ropes course with zipline, a giant swing, high ropes, and a big gym. We will still visit the same farm.
Buildings: The cabins, dining hall, gym, and other buildings are all brand new! Additionally, there are more indoor spaces for arts/crafts, exercise/movement, etc. We are all excited to explore Rutledge-West and have a great camp!
Check out the photos below (Jim took some during a recent visit; the rest are from our pals at Camp Twin Lakes!) Click here to download a map of Rutledge-West.
